Fragile Transport

We provide dedicated fragile transportation for artworks across the Upper North Island and further afield on request.

With our own high roof van, fitted with purpose-built picture tie-rails, we can safely transport loose packed pictures and delicate objects. And as a dedicated art shipper and installation company, we offer door-to-door and wall-to-wall services (delivery and installation). Our service minimises excessive handling; providing better assurance of the safe handling and care for vulnerable and high value artworks and objects.

Our transport services are presently by request only, both locally and nationally. However we offer a semi-frequent art shuttle between Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga, subject to demand.

We can also provide custom packing crates, travel frames and soft packing for works—solutions suitable for shipping by freight forwarders, nationally and internationally, or for long term storage. We also can provide short term climate-controlled storage for artworks should this also be required.

Van Specifications:
2014 Ford Transit Custom High Roof LWB
Cargo space dimensions 2470mm L x 1350mm W x 1700mm H
(can transport paintings up to a maximum height of 2100mm, depending on depth).

We offer made-to-measure crates, travel frames and stillages, suitable for local and international transport, and/or medium and long term storage. We make our crates in accordance with our clients’ specific requirements and budget, and we can advise you on what is best suited for your needs.

Our packaging and crating for artworks services are informed by considerable experience packing and crating artworks to a museum standard, and are informed by a depth of knowledge and experience in the safe handling of art and precious objects. Our preferred materials are export ready plywood, and quality inert crating lining materials such as PE foam that best protect artworks from excessive vibrations and the rigours of air and road freighting.
